RETURN TO CAGBALETE – PART 2 OF 2

When I first visited Cagbalete in 2014, I was amazed with what the island has to offer. Not just the sea and the sand but also the people there. How I wished I could visit Cagbalete again. I dreamt of its crystal-clear water, and long beach shores.  And when it was decided to revisit the island, it was definitely a go for me. But this time, we spent it at the eastern side of Cagbalete at Villa Pilarosa.

So, what's to see on this side of the island? Yes; still crystal-clear water, and powder white sand!
But compared to Villa Cleofas, where we stayed last time, there are plenty of mangroves near Villa Pilarosa. Actually, the resort is surrounded by mangroves.

Mangroves are a common scene in this area.

The western side of the island also offers a better view of the sunset. But in spite of this, the sun sets earlier in Cagbalete cause of the tall mountains fronting it. Thus, shorter time to view the setting sun.

A fisherman adjusts his boat while the sun is setting at the horizon.

The last sunlight for the day.

The weekend escape will soon be over as resort's guests leave the island around 10 AM the next day.

The other guests leaving the Villa Pilarosa. Taking a boat bound for Mauban.

And it was our turn to head back to Manila. Staying at Villa Pilarosa gave us the opportunity to explore another picturesque part of Cagbalete. I'm grateful to have been in Cagbelete again. Another comeback? Definitely!

Heading to the boat that will take us back to Mauban.

By the time we arrived at Mauban Port, we took a tricycle (PHP 50) to bring us to the van terminal near the church. We took a van (PHP 70) that will take us to Lucena's Grand Terminal. From the Grand Terminal, we took a JAM Liner bus bound for Cubao (PHP 210).
